Loren Endsley, an all-American and four-year starter on the offensive line at Eastern Oregon University, joined the Coyote coaching staff ahead of the 2020 season. He works primarily with the offense.
Â
Endsley hails from Couer d’Alene, Idaho, and was a two-sport star in football and track and field at Lake City High School. He spent one year at Idaho State University before moving over to Eastern Oregon where he competed from 2011-14. Endsley was the Bieslot Award winner in 2014 for his community service work. He was an all-Frontier Conference academic honoree all four years and led an offensive unit that established multiple records.
Â
Endsley began his career as the head coach at Lake Roosevelt High School in Grand Coulee, Washington, where he coached eight all-Central Washington first-team athletes on offense and five on defense. He returned to Eastern Oregon in 2017 to serve as offensive line coach and run game coordinator under Tyler Paopao, currently the Coyotes’ tight ends coach. The Mountaineers were a top-25 rushing team that season.
Â
Endsley spent the 2018 and 2019 campaigns as the offensive coordinator and offensive line and tight ends coach at Dakota Wesleyan in Mitchell, South Dakota. Most notably, the Tigers racked up 822 yards of offense (510 passing) and totaled 45 first downs – all school records – early in Endsley’s tenure. The Tigers were a top-20 passing team in 2018. Two all-American offensive linemen have grown under Endsley's tutelage.
Endsley graduated from EOU with a degree in history and exercise science and went on to earn a master’s degree in education. He and his wife, Cassie, an all-American softball player at EOU, have a son, Cooper.
