Luke Groth has served as director of football operations for the Coyotes since 2012. Groth is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the program including team travel, budget oversight, future scheduling, coordination of team meals and meetings, football event management, and social media.
 
Groth conducts official visit recruiting weekends and assists in the planning and execution of Coyote Football summer camps. He implemented South Dakota's first Women's Football Clinic in the spring of 2014. He also serves as a liaison for the program to the athletic administration and other various groups across campus.
 
A native of Lawton, Iowa, Groth played on the offensive line for the Coyotes from 2004-08 and was a three-year letter winner. He returned to USD after serving as assistant athletic director for football operations from Wisconsin-Whitewater, which won national titles in 2010 and 2011.
 
Prior to his time at UWW, Groth was a graduate assistant and director of football operations at Minnesota State from 2009-10. He also has served as a football operations intern for the Minnesota Vikings and a ticket sales intern for the Kansas City Chiefs.
 
Groth graduated from USD with a degree in business administration in 2008. He earned his master's degree in Sport Management from Minnesota State in 2010. He and his wife, Rebecca, reside in Vermillion.
