Bryan Boettcher

Bryan Boettcher was named USD sports information director in the fall of 2012. He and his staff are responsible for the publicity of South Dakota's 18 intercollegiate sports, including media relations, direction and content for USD's official athletics website, GoYotes.com, and through social media. Boettcher's team also nominates Coyote athletes for national awards and honors, maintains record books and serves as official statistician for all on-campus athletic events.

Boettcher returned to the sports information field following a one-year hiatus. He previously spent four years as the SID for Northwest Missouri State University, an NCAA Division II school in Maryville, Mo. Boettcher has also been an athletic communications assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and the SID at Coe College (Iowa), his alma mater.

In Maryville, Boettcher promoted a football program that made five consecutive NCAA championship game appearances and captured the 2009 crown. He also followed the Bearcats' women's basketball team during their run to the Final Four in 2011.

Boettcher was the primary contact for softball and the secondary contact for men's basketball at Wisconsin. He assisted a program that featured a national player of the year candidate in Alando Tucker and a Bo Ryan-coached team that reached a number one ranking during the season.

Coe College hired Boettcher in the middle of his senior year to promote the department's 21 sports. He served an additional three years in Cedar Rapids before making the move to Madison.

Bryan and his wife, Beth, reside in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, with their children Easton (12), Tessa (10), Bailey (7) and Ace (3).
