Mike Kremer was announced as the Assistant Football Strength Coach in January 2026 by head coach Travis Johansen and director of football performance Chad Traver after a season as a paid intern with Coyote football. 

Kremer joined the football performance staff in August 2025 and worked with Traver and the football program throughout the 2025 season in Johansen's first season as head coach.
 
Prior to his time in Vermillion, Kremer served as a sports performance graduate assistant at Austin Peay State University. He worked with the Governor's football program at the FCS level, as well as with the Austin Peay women's soccer program.
 
He's also spent time as an intern at the University of Mississippi, working with the Rebels football program where he operated the Rebel's Catapult system to track and develop Ole Miss football athletes.
 
While a student at Wisconsin-Oshkosh, Kremer worked with both male and female student athletes from all 17 collegiate sports sponsored at Oshkosh.
 
Kremer is a 2020 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh with a degree in kinesiology and a focus on strength and conditioning. He earned his master's in human health and performance from Austin Peay State University in 2025.
