Biography

2024-25 | Senior
Golfed in all 11 events for the Coyotes, playing a total of 33 rounds... clinched two top 10 finishes at the LaTour Intercollegiate and the Loyola Intercollegiate... he tied his lowest career round by shooting a 67 during round two of the LaTour Intercollegiate, where he tied for sixth overall (72, 67, 74)... showed his best performace at the Loyola Intercollegiate where he ended (-6) on the course and tied for 10 overall after carding 69, 71, and 70 round scores... his season stroke average sits at a 74.03.

2023-24 | Junior
Golfed in 11 of the 13 competitions on the season ... averaged a 74.15 stroke average ... placed eighth at the Bryan National Collegiate clinching his first career top 10 finish, where he also recorded his best round of (-1) 

2022-23 | Sophomore
Played in eight events for 23 rounds total…averaged a 75.65 stroke average…shot a career-best round of 67 in the first round of the Duel at The Bluffs…recorded the second-lowest 36-hole score in program history with a 136 at the Duel and The Bluffs…tied a career-low 54-hole score of 220 and placed in a tie for 18th place at the Advance Partners Intercollegiate…two par-or-under rounds…helped USD to a runner-up finish at the Western Illinois Invite.

2021-22 | Freshman
Played in eight tournaments for 21 total rounds in his freshman season…averaged a 79.52 stroke average…recorded a season-low round of 71 in the final round of the Loyola Intercollegiate (02/20-02/22)…placed in a tie for 47th place at the Stampede at the Creek (04/11-04/12)…+8 relative to par…103-409 win-loss record

Prep
A native of Sartell, Minnesota, Hamak graduated from Sartell High School where he was a five-time all-conference selection and a two-time all-state honoree. Hamak finished high school as a two-time Central Lakes Conference Champion and tied the Sartell school record shooting a 68. Hamak was a familiar face at the Minnesota state meet competing in the AAA State golf tournament three times taking third place his sophomore season and 11th place his senior season. During his senior season, Hamak had an 18-hole scoring average of 73. In the fall of 2020, Hamak competed in three different American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) tournaments. He placed third in Oregon, second in Utah and 10th in Arizona. In June of 2021, Hamak competed in and took home the Midwest Junior Golf Invitational tournament championship with a three-round score of 214.
 
In June of 2021, Hamak competed in the 103rd Western Junior Championships, the oldest national junior tournament in the United States, where he tied for 23rd out of 156 participants. The field included golfers from more than 40 states and around the world. The event has had several now professional golfers compete in the event such as Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Ricker Fowler and Fred Couples. Hamak is the first incoming Coyote to compete in the prestigious tournament.
