Miranda Southall

Miranda Southall joined the Coyote staff in the fall of 2021 following a brilliant playing career at Olivet Nazarene near her hometown of Wilmington, Illinois. Southall was a five-year starter, a three-time all-conference performer and a two-time all-American. She led her team to a 159-50 record across five seasons that featured two conference titles, a conference tournament title and three NAIA National Tournament appearances including a World Series berth in 2021.

Southall pitched and played in the outfield. In the batter's box, she hit .388 over her career with 24 home runs, 67 doubles and 13 triples. She scored 180 runs and drove in 202. She was walked a program-record 123 times in 208 career games and concluded with a career on-base percentage of .497.

Southall did almost all of her pitching in her final three seasons. She went 28-8 in the circle over her career with a 2.60 ERA and struck out 144 in 244 2/3 innings of work. She went 15-3 in the circle with a career-best 2.42 ERA her senior year of 2021 and hit a career-best .440 (51-for-116) with seven home runs and 39 RBIs in being named a first-team all-American.

Southall graduated from Olivet Nazarene with a degree in business administration.
