Ben Jasinski is in his second season working with the jumps as a volunteer assistant coach on the South Dakota track and field staff.

In his first year working with women's head coach Lucky Huber, Jasinski coached Megan Glisar to a sixth-place finish at the 2013 NCAA Outdoor Championships. Glisar cleared 6-0 in the high jump to garner All-America honors.

Jasinski, a native of Rapid City, S.D., comes to South Dakota after a stellar track and field career at South Dakota State. He holds school records in the indoor high jump (6-10 3/4) and the outdoor high jump (7-1) and also holds the school heptathlon record (5,429 points). He finished with 24 event wins during his career, including winning the Summit League Outdoor Championships twice in the high jump.

Jasinski earned his degree in electrical engineering from SDSU in 2011. He is pursuing a master's degree in physics at South Dakota.
