Chad Pinkelman

A recipient of the 2012 NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship, Chad Pinkelman has been around the Coyote track and field program since he began competing as a freshman in 2009. The 2014-15 season marks his third as a volunteer assistant coach.

Pinkelman graduated from the University of South Dakota in 2012 with his bachelor's degree in business administration. He then went on the receive his MBA from South Dakota in 2013, while still competing for the Coyote track and field program.

One of several Coyotes to compete for South Dakota during their transition years from Division II to Division I, the Coyotes were not eligible for the national meet until Pinkelman's fourth year of eligibility. At the conference level, Pinkelman earned several all-Great West and all-Summit League honors in the jumps. As a senior, Pinkelman placed second in the triple jump at the Summit League meet in addition to placing seventh in the high jump and eighth in the long jump.

Pinkelman currently resides in Vermillion and works on campus as a recruiter at the University of South Dakota School of Education.
