Jeff Seagren joined South Dakota’s athletic department as an assistant director of development in November of 2017. He earned the title of assistant athletic director for development ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.
Since June of 2016, Seagren served as an admissions counselor for the University of South Dakota's undergraduate ofice. Prior to joining the Coyotes, he spent seven seasons coaching collegiate track and field. Stops included Morningside College, Rhodes College and Queens University. His coaching career began at South Dakota, where he spent two seasons as a graduate assistant with the Coyote track and field program. While coaching, Seagren was instrumental in successful recruiting, fundraising and team development.
Seagren graduated from the University of South Dakota in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in health and recreation. He earned his master’s degree in athletic administration and exercise science in 2011 from USD as well.
During his undergraduate career, Seagren was an all-North Central Conference decathlete on the Coyote track and field team. He was a member of three NCC championship teams during his career.
