Placed fifth in the triple jump (45-2 ¼) and seventh in the long jump (21-8 ¾) at the Summit League Championships … won the long jump at the Dakota Duals with a wind-aided mark of 21-9 ½ … also finished runner-up in the triple jump with a jump of 44-4 at the Dakota Duals … took third in the triple jump at the Wildcat Classic with a mark of 45-1 ... named to the Summit League honor roll, earning Distinguished Scholar status … named to the Summit League Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence.

Son of Dan and Cecilia Fitzsimmons...both parents were stand-out track and field athletes at USD...father, Dan, is now the head cross country and assistant track coach at the University...older siblings Sean and Shannon also competed for USD track and field...Kinesiology and Sports Science major with a minor in Interdisciplinary Sciences and in the Pre-Physical Therapy program.
