A four-sport athlete at North High School ... qualified for three consecutive Iowa Class 4A State Track and Field Championships and three straight Drake Relays meets ... holds the Stars’ program record for the 60-meter hurdles three times in the same meet ... also a member of North’s 4x110-meter shuttle hurdle relay record and 800-meter medley relay record ... ranks second all-time at North in the 110-meter hurdles ... helped the Stars to a pair of Iowa basketball and football state tournaments while also playing on North’s baseball team for five years ... led the Missouri River Conference in stolen bases for two consecutive years and made the all-conference team three times ... received the U.S. Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award.
