South Dakota women’s basketball head coach Amy Williams has added Amanda Hart to her staff as the director of basketball operations for the 2015-16 season.
Hart joins the Coyote staff after serving as assistant women’s basketball coach and assistant sports information director at Dakota Wesleyan.
Hart assisted with player development, supervised academics, served as recruiting coordinator, and created travel itineraries. Her sports information responsibilities included writing press releases, generating online content, game day statistics and operations, and media guides.
A Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-District honoree at Dakota Wesleyan, Hart was a four-time all-Great Plains Athletic Conference selection and earned the NAIA All-America Scholar-Athlete award twice. Hart holds the Tigers’ career record for 3-pointers made (391) and 3-pointers made in a season (112 in 2011-12). She also sits seventh on Dakota Wesleyan’s all-time scoring list with 1,406 points.
Hart graduated from Dakota Wesleyan in 2014 with a bachelor’s in English and sport management. She will complete her master’s degree in educational policy and administration this December.
