Clint Farrar

Clint Farrar is entering his second year as Director of Basketball Operations after spending the 2013-14 season in the same role for USD's men's team. A Hurley, S.D., native, Farrar provides oversight of administrative tasks associated with the operations of an efficient Division I basketball program including film break down, scouting reports and game day management.

Farrar arrived in Vermillion following three years as an assistant coach for Berea College (Ky.) and its head coach John Hemenway, a former USD point guard and Coyote Hall of Famer.

At Berea, Farrar assumed all administrative, academic advising and player development responsibilities for the program. He assisted in the recruiting of 23 high school seniors and junior college prospects. Farrar also assisted Hemenway with practice, game decision making, the scouting of opponents and scheduling.

Farrar first served with Hemenway as a student assistant at Dakota Wesleyan in Mitchell, where Farrar earned his bachelor's degree in elementary education. Farrar helped lead the Tigers to a 53-15 record in his two seasons, including a 30-6 mark in the GPAC. Farrar went on to earn his master's degree in sports administration from Eastern Kentucky University.

Farrar has been an AAU coach and spent several years as a student assistant in the sports information department at Dakota Wesleyan. He was a member of the Tigers' basketball team during the 2007-08 season, when the team posted a 24-9 record and was ranked as high as eighth in the nation.
