Alexa Rudeen joined the University of South Dakota athletic department after finishing her softball career as a Coyote in 2012 and has since worked multiple roles in the department. She has served as the Assistant AD for Equipment and Operations since the fall of 2021.
She originally joined the facilities/equipment staff in 2016 after spending three seasons as an assistant softball coach after graduating.
Rudeen manages the product allotment (Adidas, 2016-26; Nike, 2026-pres.) for the athletic department, handling ordering and branding. She played a central role in the athletic department's switch from Adidas to Nike heading into the 2026-27 academic year.
Rudeen played softball for the Coyotes from 2009-12, earning a pair of Second Team All-Great West Conference honors (2010-11). The four-time Great West Player of the Week also sits top-10 in three categories for the Coyotes: third in fielding percentage (.991), fourth in putouts (1,015), and tied ninth in doubles (41).
She is a 2012 graduate of USD with a degree in mathematics. In 2014, she earned a master's degree in sport management, also from USD.
