Carson Hruby (M.A. ’22) has joined the University of South Dakota athletics and foundation teams as the Associate Director of Development for Athletics in the spring of 2025.

In his role at USD, Hruby will focus on annual giving gifts to the athletic department and will assist in the implementation of the marquee events.

In addition, with his previous career experience, he will also work closely with the USD Ticket Office to oversee premium seating in the DakotaDome and SCSC for home Coyote events. 

Hruby joins the USD foundation staff after a stint at the University of Michigan in their ticket office as a ticket manager. At Michigan, he oversaw volleyball, women’s soccer, wresting, and men’s lacrosse ticketing.

In his time as a Wolverine, the Michigan wrestling team earned national runner-up recognition, plus back-to-back Big Ten titles in men’s lacrosse.

A native of Huron, South Dakota, Hruby is a 2021 graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in business management. He earned his master’s degree in sport management from the University of South Dakota in 2022.
