University of South Dakota alumna,
Madison Mills joined the University of South Dakota athletic department in the summer of 2022 as a department accountant. In March of 2024, she was promoted to her current title of Assistant Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Excellence and serves on the administrative team.
She also is the sport administrator for the Coyotes cross country and track & field programs.
In her role, Mills continues to oversee different business office/accounting responsibilities, while adding athlete experience items to her duties, including being the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) advisor.
In addition to her role with USD athletics, Mills also serves as an adjunct instructor in USD’s Beacom School of Business. She’s taught courses:
Survey of Business and
Consumer Behavior.
Mills was a track and field athlete at the University of South Dakota from 2012 to 2017, competing in the pole vault. She sits seventh all-time in the pole vault on the USD Indoor list (4.25m) and was a six-time All-Summit League honoree in the pole vault.
Mills, a native of Reno, Nevada, is a 2017 graduate of USD with a joint degree in business administration (bachelor’s) and her master’s in business administration. In 2020, she was named to USD’s ’30 Under 30’ alumni.
