Wolves Escaped With 75-71 Victory Over Coyotes

The Coyotes, who trailed, 42-34, at halftime, rallied in the second half. USD led seven times with the last time being, 64-62, with 4:26 remaining in the game. The Wolves took a 70-66 lead wtih 2:59 showing and managed to hold off the Coyotes the rest of the way . . . South Dakota, which shot 43.5 percent compared to 44.1 for Northern State, was paced by Kelly Koepp's 19 points, six assists and two steals. Melinda Oster had 13 points, followed by Dawn Sudbeck and Amanda Iverson with eight apiece. Julia Frie and Alissa Koronkiewicz each had seven points.
