Vermillion, SD - South Dakota improved its record to 10-8 and 3-6 in the North Central Conference with a 77-64 win over Minnesota State-Mankato Saturday, Jan. 29 in Vermillion. The Coyotes pulled away from a 36-36 halftime deadlock by outscoring the Mavericks, 41-28, in the second half. USD shot 49.1 percent for the game compared to 36.4 for MSU-Mankato. The Coyotes also led in rebounds, 41-33. Kelly Koepp led all players with 24 points and nine rebounds. Nicole Jaycox had 18 points fueled by four three-point field goals. Julia Frie and Heather Nelson finished with 15 and 10 points, respectively.
