Vermillion, SD - Northern Colorado, which lost to South Dakota earlier this season in Vermillion, 75-58, evened the season series with a 60-49 victory over the Coyotes last Saturday in Greeley, CO. USD came into the game following a 68-50 loss to Nebraska-Omaha on Friday. The Coyotes, who trailed, 29-24, at halftime, were held to 31.0 percent shooting from the field by Northern Colorado and USD was outrebounded, 44-41. USD, which hosts North Dakota State and North Dakota Friday and Saturday, shot only 28.6 percent in the second half. USD, which dropped to 10-10 overall and 3-8 in the NCC, was led by Melinda Oster's 12 points and eight rebounds. Heather Nelson had 11 points, followed by Kelly Koepp with seven and Dawn Sudbeck with six. Julia Frie pulled down seven rebounds.
