VERMILLION, S.D. -- Dan Hanna, a development officer for The University of South Dakota Athletics Department, has resigned his post to entire private business. He will leave USD on August 31.

Hanna, who has served at South Dakota since April 2004, was responsible for the Coyote Athletic Fund (CAF) and the corporate sponsorship program.

Hanna earned a Bachelor of Science degree (1985) in business education from USD. A U.S. Navy veteran, Hanna returned to USD to work on graduate studies in the early 1990s. From 1994 to 2000, he was in athletic training at the high school, collegiate and professional ranks. In 2000, Hanna started Advanced Document Destruction, in Sioux Falls, S.D., before selling the business in 2004.
