NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Senior goalkeeper Jen Ogren has been named the Great West Conference Defensive Player of the Week in women's soccer for a fourth time this season, the league announced on Monday.
Ogren (Raymore, Mo.) became USD's all-time leader in career saves during the Coyotes' 1-0 loss to Drake on Sept. 30. Ogren finished the game with six saves. She followed that performance with her second shutout of 2010 in USD's 0-0 overtime tie at Northern Iowa.
For the week, Ogren allowed just one goal in 200 minutes of action and finished with 13 saves. She had a 0.45 goals allowed average.
For the season, Ogren has 114 saves and three wins. She has a 1.62 goals allowed average.
The Coyotes resume action on Friday, Oct. 8 at North Dakota. Game time is 4 p.m. in Grand Forks, N.D.
