WICHITA, Kan. – Creighton took advantage of 12 Coyote service errors to top South Dakota volleyball 25-19, 25-20, 25-19 on Saturday at the Shocker Volleyball Classic. It's the third straight loss for the Coyotes (9-6).
Kendall Kritenbrink had a double-double with 13 kills and 13 digs, and was also named to the all-tournament team. Kaitlyn Hastings had 19 digs, Tori Kroll recorded 31 assists and Kelsey Biltoft tallied five total blocks.
Creighton finished the first set with a 9-3 run, the second set with a 9-2 run and the third set with a 5-1 run. The Bluejays led the Coyotes in kills (41-36), digs (66-59) and blocks (9-8). Melanie Jerab led the Bluejays with nine kills, while Michelle Sicner led in digs with 16.
South Dakota will start its Summit League schedule by hosting defending league champion Fort Wayne on Friday at 7 p.m.
