WSU drops USD, two earn all-tournament honors

PULLMAN, Wash. – South Dakota volleyball was swept by Washington State 25-16, 25-17, 25-22 while Tori Kroll and Audrey Reeg were named to the all-tournament team to finish the WSU Cougar Challenge on Saturday night.

Washington State committed only eight attack errors and had a .333 hitting percentage during the match. Kyra Holt led the Cougars with 13 kills.

South Dakota (5-3) was led by Kendall Kritenbrink's 11 kills and Reeg's 14 digs. Sydney Dimke added 11 digs while Kroll had 31 assists. South Dakota finished the tournament 3-1.

Kroll recorded a triple-double against Montana, a double-double against Eastern Washington and had 165 assists over four games to earn all-tournament honors. Reeg also earned all-tournament honors by finishing the tournament with 72 digs, recording a top effort of 31 against Montana.

The Coyotes will next travel to the Montana State Tournament where they will face Akron on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
