VERMILLION, S.D.—Dedrick Basile scored a season-high 20 points and Aly Ahmed added 16 more to lead CSU Bakersfield to a 77-67 win against South Dakota Saturday inside the DakotaDome.

Dan Jech added 12 off South Dakota's bench.
The game featured 10 ties and 16 lead changes. Neither team led by more than five points until Ahmed scored in the paint with 4:53 remaining that gave the Roadrunners a 64-58 lead. Ahmed scored six points during a 15-4 run after South Dakota led 54-49 with 10:34 remaining.
CSUB (5-3) won for the first time in four road games this season and did so without leading scorer Damiyne Durham, who did not travel with the team.
The Roadrunners had a 36-20 advantage on the glass, shot 53 percent from the field (26 of 49) and made 23 of 30 free throws. The Coyotes shot 48 percent from the field (24 of 50) and made 12 of 19 from the stripe.
South Dakota lost for the first time in three home games this season. The Coyotes begin a four-game road trip Thursday against Milwaukee.
