Box Score 3 WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – South Dakota seniors
Kelsey Biltoft and
Sydney Dimke were both selected to the Boiler Box Challenge all-tournament team as they led the Coyotes to a second place finish with a 2-1 record and wins against Notre Dame and Ball State.
Biltoft led the Coyotes defensively with 13 block assists and two solo blocks for 15 total blocks. She also added 25 kills and had an attack percentage of .470. Biltoft now has 318 total blocks and is now first on the Coyotes all-time total blocks list.
Dimke kept the offense going with 47 kills, 24 digs and 12 block assists. She had 23 kills, a career-match high, against Ball State.
"Finishing 2-1 in this tournament is a great feat, especially when it is our fourth straight weekend of travel," said South Dakota head coach
Leanne Williamson. "This schedule will certainly prepare us for playing on the road in conference.
We are looking forward to playing in front of our home crowd on Friday."
The Coyotes host Western Illinois this weekend in their home opener at 5 p.m. Friday in the Den.
