DENVER—All 13 Coyotes saw 10 minutes of action and eight scored at least seven points as South Dakota routed Denver 79-33 inside Magness Arena Friday night.
South Dakota (18-5, 9-1 Summit) has won eight straight games to take the top spot in the Summit League standings. Denver (4-19, 2-8 Summit) loses its first in a season-long five-game home stand.
"It was a great team defensive effort tonight," head coach
Amy Williams said. "It was a game where we were able to play a lot of rotations with our athletes, which can sometimes cause lapses defensively. I thought our players stayed locked in and guarded pretty well tonight."

Margaret McCloud were the lone duo in double-figures. Stewart scored 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting while McCloud tallied 12 with 5-of-7 from the field.
Denver guards Ciera Morgan and Paige Bradley combined for 11 points as the Pioneers shot 58.3 percent (7-of-12) in the first quarter. After shooting lights out from the field in the opening 10 minutes, the Pioneers would make 6-of-35 the rest of the way to finish with 33 total points.
It was the lowest point total allowed by USD since 2011 when the Coyotes held Tabor to 16. The Coyotes forced 16 Pioneer turnovers and had three blocks.

Jasmine Trimboli both scored nine points. Sophomore center
Kate Liveringhouse also added nine, all coming in the third quarter.
Denver's Jaclyn Poss ended a five-minute scoring drought for the Pioneers by nailing a three with 5:47 to go in the second quarter. Coyote freshman guard
Jaycee Bradley responded on the other end with a 3-point field goal of her own. Bradley totaled seven points, grabbed a team-high five rebounds and dished out four assists.

Abigail Fogg each tallied seven points as well. Seekamp added a game-high six assists. Senior guard
Tia Hemiller added four assists in the Coyotes' total of 20.
In the 100th game of her career, senior
Heidi Hoff grabbed three rebounds and dished out two assists.
South Dakota made 19-of-21 from the charity stripe for the best free-throw shooting percentage on the season. Trimboli (6-for-6), Bradley (4-for-4), Liveringhouse (3-for-3) and McCloud (2-for-2) were each perfect at the line. Additionally, the Coyotes shot 51.9 percent (27-of-52) from the field.
The Coyotes outrebounded the Pioneers 40-22. South Dakota had 17 second-chance points off nine offensive boards. All 13 Coyotes grabbed at least two boards.
South Dakota's road trip continues against Omaha at 2 p.m. Sunday.
