The Coyotes earned an automatic bid to the WNIT by winning the Summit League regular season title with a 15-1 record. USD makes the 64-team field, and with a win will face the winner of Minnesota and Milwaukee.
The SeriesSouth Dakota and Creighton are meeting for the 22nd time and for the sixth consecutive season. The Coyotes were victorious last year, but the Bluejays have won three of the last five. Creighton leads the all-time series 12-9.

Nicole Seekamp, this year's Summit League Player of the Year, led the Coyotes with 21 points. South Dakota made the WNIT by winning the Summit League regular season and Creighton was the runner-up in the Big East Tournament.
The Coyotes' quick style of play and scoring depth has resulted in the nation's 11th-best scoring offense at 78.7 points per game. Assists per game have been a huge part of the offense and the Coyotes rank eighth in the nation with 17.8. The lethal combination of a quick offense and tough defense has created a scoring margin of 14.3 points per game, 19th in the nation. South Dakota also boasts the ninth-best rebounding margin with 11.0 more rebounds than their opponents.
