Yvon Minogue bounced past IUPUI right fielder Maggie Good, which allowed
Jamie Holscher to score from first base. Holscher singled earlier in the inning.
Kayla Fields' sacrifice fly to center field in the fourth inning made it 2-0. A throwing error put
Jessica Rogers on second base and a passed ball moved her to third ahead of Fields' long fly.
Brook Boetjer (6-12) was the hard-luck loser for the Jaguars. She allowed just three hits in six innings and struck out two with no walks. Boetjer allowed four earned runs in 13 innings pitched during the series.
Minogue's single in the third was the 242
nd of her Coyote career, which ties her for first place on USD's all-time hit list with Julie MacRunnels (2000-03). Minogue also moved into the top-five all-time in Summit League history. Her first chance at the record-breaking hit will come Tuesday in a 2 p.m. doubleheader at home against Kansas City.
