MBB adds Burch-Manning

VERMILLION, S.D.—University of South Dakota head men's basketball coach Craig Smith is pleased to announce the signing of Trey Burch-Manning to a National Letter of Intent. Burch-Manning is eligible to compete for the Coyotes this fall and has three seasons of eligibility remaining.

Burch-Manning is a 6-foot-6-inch forward from Federal Way, Wash., who helped lead North Idaho College to a 31-2 record this past season. Burch-Manning earned honorable mention honors from the Scenic West Athletic Conference after averaging 8.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game. He shot an even 50 percent from the field (89-178) and got to the free-throw line 135 times.

The Cardinals won their first 31 games and reached the sweet 16 of the NJCAA Division I National Tournament. They were third in the final national rankings.

"We are thrilled that Trey will be joining the Coyote family," said Smith. "He fits our culture well in that he is a fantastic person, a good student, works hard and is all about team. Trey has won everywhere he's been. He has a great feel for the game and can play multiple positions for the Yotes."

Burch-Manning attended Todd Beamer High School where he lettered four years at the varsity level. As a senior, he averaged 14.9 points for the Titans, who won the SPSL South and West Central/Southwest District championship for the first time. The team went on to finish fifth at the state tournament. Burch-Manning earned first-team all-SPSL South Division honors.
