South Dakota men's basketball travels to Bowling Green for a 6 p.m. (CST) tip-off Monday inside the Stroh Center.
The Game
South Dakota tangles with Bowling Green for the second-consecutive season. South Dakota is coming off an 87-59 victory over Mayville State Saturday night while BGSU has an extra day's rest after defeating Drexel on the road Friday night, 78-69.
The Falcons
Bowling Green is 1-0 on the young season after a come-from-behind victory at Drexel on Friday night. The Falcons used a 19-point swing in the second half to turn a 10-point halftime deficit into a nine-point victory. Redshirt freshman Justin Turner torched Drexel for 33 points on 12-of-19 shooting and 4-of-7 from 3-point land. BGSU was picked to finish fifth in the Mid-America Conference's East Division in the preseason poll. Bowling Green went 13-19 last season with a 7-11 record inside the MAC.
The Coyotes
South Dakota won its season opener on Saturday night, the first of three games in five days. The Coyotes pulled away in the second half against Mayville State for the 87-59 victory.
Matt Mooney scored a game-high 13 points in 23 minutes of action while

Tyler Hagedorn,
Tyler Peterson all scored in double digits. South Dakota won its second-consecutive season opener and 11
th-straight home opener.
The Series
Monday's contest is the second meeting between the two schools and first in Bowling Green, Ohio. The first meeting was the men's home-opener inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center last season. South Dakota prevailed 78-72 behind a double-double performance from
Trey Burch-Manning. The now junior tallied 14 points and 11 rebounds While
Carlton Hurst totaled 13 points and five rebounds for the Coyotes.
One Last Thing
The South Dakota football team had success against Bowling Green earlier this year, when the FCS Coyotes defeated the FBS Falcons 35-27. The Coyote men's basketball team looks to keep the South Dakota magic going inside the Falcon enemy lines.
