The South Dakota men's basketball team concludes its brief two-game homestand Monday night hosting Northern Arizona at 7 p.m. inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center.

The Game
Northern Arizona makes its second-ever trip to Vermillion, and the first since the 1959-60 season, in what is the Coyotes final home game in the month of November. South Dakota holds a perfect 8-0 record inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center in the month of November since its opening in 2016.

The Lumberjacks
Northern Arizona is coming off a 97-82 victory over Jacksonville in its season opener on Saturday. Sophomore Bernie Andre had a double-double of 20 points and 14 rebounds in his Lumberjack debut. Freshman Cameron Shelton tallied 15 points and four assists.

The Lumberjacks were picked to finish 11
th in the Big Sky Conference in both the coaches' and media polls. Last season, NAU tallied a 5-27 overall record and went 2-16 in Big Sky action.

The Coyotes
South Dakota opened its season with a victory for the third-straight year and had a win in its home opener for the 12
th-straight season.
Triston Simpson's career-high 23 points paced the 83-58 victory over York. Simpson, a junior, was 7-of-12 from the field and topped his previous career-best of 20 points. Senior
Trey Burch-Manning had 22Â points and eight rebounds while junior
Tyler Peterson totaled 15 points.

A win against Northern Arizona would give South Dakota a 2-0 start to the season for the third-straight year.

The Series
South Dakota leads the three-game series 2-1. The Coyotes prevailed 90-77 last season in Flagstaff, Arizona, the first meeting between the two schools in 38 years.

Sophomore
Stanley Umude made his first-career start against York scoring eight points and grabbing five rebounds in 16 minutes of action. The 6-6 guard saw action in 14 games a season ago.
