Final Results
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. —South Dakota ends the final day of the Summit League Championships in the Midco
® Aquatic Center Saturday with a number of top-three finishes, broken records and Summit League honors. The men finished runner-up with the women finishing in fourth place.
South Dakota's Top Performers:
Haley Pederson and
Sarah Schank took the top two spots in the three-meter dive finals. Pederson earned the first Summit League champion title of her career with a score of 255.45. Schank secured the silver with a score of 254.40. Both Pederson and Schank earn All-Summit League honors for their performances.
Eric Erlenmeyer claimed the bronze medal in the 100-yard individual medley when he touched the wall in 51.25 seconds. For his top-three finish, Erlenmeyer earned All-Summit League honors.
In the 200-yard breaststroke,
James Ryan claimed third place with a performance of 2:01.52 to earn All-Summit League honors.
Mark Vanderzee captured a third-place finish in the 200-yard butterfly with a finish of 1:51.73.
In the women's 200-yard backstroke,
Sabrina Sabadeanu and
Theresa Godlewski took second and third place to earn All-Summit League honors. Sabadeanu finished second with a time of 2:00.54 and Godlewski took third with a finish of 2:01.88.
The men's 400-yard freestyle relay team of
Hunter Padgett,
Steve Wascom,
Gray Determan and Erlenmeyer claimed the silver medal with a finish of 3:00.09.

Record breaker:
Erlenmeyer's finish of 51.25 in the 100-yard individual medley finals broke his previous school record in the event. The old record stood at 51.68.
Ryan's finish of 2:01.52 in the 200-yard breaststroke surpassed the previous record time of 2:01.70.
The men's 400-yard freestyle relay team of Padgett, Wascom, Determan and Erlenmeyer broke the school record by finishing in 3:00.09. The previous record was set with a time of 3:01.92.
Padgett clocked a 45.12 in his first leg of the 400-yard freestyle, which broke the school 100-yard freestyle record previously set at 45.38.
Breaking into the Coyote Top 10:
Pederson's three-meter dive score of 255.45 moves her up to sixth-best score in school history.
Nick Gehling's final time of 1:51.28 in the 200-yard backstroke moved him up to second fastest on the Coyote Top 10 list.
Katie Coleman's time of 52.07 in the prelims of the 100-yard freestyle places her fifth fastest in school history.
Gabi Gilliana's prelim time of 2:24.22 in the 200-yard breaststroke places her eighth in the Coyote Top 10 list for the event.
Wascom's final time in the 200-yard breaststroke of 2:04.84 moves him up to sixth fastest time in school history.
Taylor Kidd's time of 1:44.99 in the 1,650-yard freestyle places 10
th on the Coyote Top 10.
In the 200-yard butterfly, Vanderzee,
Christian Fossum and
Myles Taylor all move up on the Coyote Top 10 list. Vanderzee's final time of 1:51.73 places him third, Fossum's final finish of 1:54.40 moves him to sixth and Taylor's prelim time of 1:55.44 earned him ninth.
