KANSAS CITY, Kan. – South Dakota junior
Matt Mooney earned first-team all-District 12 honors for the second-straight season from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) as announced Tuesday.

Mooney, a native of Wauconda, Illinois, led USD and ranks fourth in the Summit League with 18.6 points per game. He made 45.4 percent of his shot attempts and tallied 74-made 3-point field goals throughout the season. He also ranks 20
th in the nation with 67 steals, a mark that ranks second in the Summit League.

Mooney started all 33 games he has played in this year, scoring 30 or more points on five different occasions including a career-best 33 points at South Dakota State on Feb. 22.

The two-time first-team all-Summit League selection has tallied 615 points on the season, a mark that ranks eighth all-time for a single season at USD. His 67 steals mark the sixth-best single season in Coyote basketball history for total steals.
