VERMILLION, S.D. – South Dakota men's basketball will host three summer camps throughout the month of June inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center. Registration is available
online.
Options include an Elite Camp for boys going into grades 9-12 on June 10, an offensive skills camp for boys going into grades K-9 on June 13 and a team camp for varsity and JV teams on June 24.
Elite Camp (Grades 9-12)
The Elite Camp is designed to accommodate campers who want to compete at a higher level. The camp includes position breakdown, fundamental skill development and games. The high-intensity camp is competitive and fun for those who come ready to work. The camp cost is $80 and participants receive lunch, t-shirt and a basketball. The camp runs from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on June 10.
Offensive Skills Camp (Grades K-9)
The offensive skills camp emphasizes fundamentals of ball handling, passing, footwork, shooting and scoring. The goal is to develop offensive skills that are crucial to today's game. Campers are grouped by age and are taught many critical aspects of the offensive side of the ball. The camp cost is $30 and participants receive a t-shirt and a basketball. The camp runs from 9 a.m. – noon on June 13.
Team Camp (Varsity and JV Teams)
The team camp is open to varsity and junior varsity teams, traditionally attracting the most competitive teams in South Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska and Iowa. The camp features games in the Sanford Coyote Sports Center and Wellness Center. Camp cost is $250 per team with a three-game guarantee.
