VERMILLION, S.D. – The South Dakota women's soccer team won 13-0 over the College of Saint Mary in exhibition action Tuesday at First Bank & Trust Soccer Complex.

Junior
Taryn LaBree set the tone with a goal just 44 seconds in the game as she fired a shot into the left corner of the net. Three minutes later, LaBree assisted on a goal by junior
Kellee Willer. LaBree made the pass from the right corner of the six-yard box to Willer on the opposite corner, where she one-timed the ball into the net.

The same duo connected again in the 10
th minute as Willer scored from 12 yards out and the 3-0 lead.

"It was great to get out on our home field," head coach
Michael Thomas said. "Thank you to the College of Saint Mary for coming to play us. We were able to play every healthy player and continue to evaluate our squad moving forward."

LaBree added a second goal as South Dakota tallied six in the half. Freshmen
Lindsay Farrell and
Tiannah Moore also added goals in the first period.

The Coyotes went with nearly all freshmen in the second half with
Rachel Kline and
Kisa Omerovic each tallying two goals in their debut on their home turf. Fellow freshmen
Taylor Cotter and
Joana Zanin each added one. Sophomore
Maddison Sullivan also added a goal in the second stanza.

Senior
Parker Rytz got the start in the goal, stopping the only shot she faced. Senior
Coral Suarez and freshman
Hollyn Carlton also played in net, not facing a shot.

South Dakota opens the regular season Thursday against Mountain West Conference opponent Wyoming. Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m. from First Bank & Trust Soccer Complex.
