VERMILLION, S.D.—South Dakota women's basketball moved to third in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Poll as announced late Tuesday evening. The Coyotes are also receiving votes in the Associated Press poll for the seventh-straight week and the USA Today Coaches Poll for the sixth time in seven weeks.
The Coyotes (15-3, 3-1 Summit) have been ranked for 21-straight CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major polls, including 11-straight weeks this season. South Dakota's been featured in the poll for 43 of the last 46.
South Dakota's lone game of the week was a 69-51 win at home over Purdue Fort Wayne. Sophomore center
Hannah Sjerven led the Coyotes with 21 points for back-to-back 20-point games.
The Coyotes begin a three-game Summit road trip at Oral Roberts on Friday in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
