VERMILLION, S.D. -- In honor of the 10-year anniversary of the historic South Dakota women's basketball WNIT championship run, the South Dakota athletic department is excited to announce that any remaining games in the 2026 WNIT will be hosted in the DakotaDome.
While the Sanford Coyote Sports Center provides a top-notch gameday atmosphere and some of the best sightlines in the nation, the nostalgia of basketball in the DakotaDome cannot be overlooked. Playing tonight's WNIT Fab 4 round game, and any potential future postseason games, in the Dome will provide fans with a chance to cheer the Coyotes on to another exciting run in the team's old home.
South Dakota athletics would also like to point out that the date is April 1. Tonight's WNIT game vs. Illinois State at 7 p.m. will be played in the Sanford Coyote Sports Center. Tickets are available atÂ
