ORLANDO, Florida – South Dakota women's tennis closed out a perfect spring trip in Florida with Thursday's 4-0 win over Norfolk State.

The Coyotes won every match contested for the fourth straight day in Orlando to close out a 4-0 week and improve to 5-7 on the season.

South Dakota opened the match with doubles wins from the duos of Emma Tranberg and Nanette Nylund and Jana Lazarevic and Luana Stanciu. Tranberg/Nylund posted a 6-2 win at No. 2 doubles while Lazarevic/Stanciu earned a 6-1 win at No. 3 doubles.

Singles victories from Laura Janícková (6-1, 6-0), Anastasiia Bondarenko (6-3, 6-2) and Nylund (6-3, 6-1) helped the Coyotes close out the match.

"Great match by the team today," coach Brett Barnett said. "I am so proud with how focused and energetic we played.

"Great job by two and three winning doubles quick and then everyone played well in singles. Everyone on this team has done a great job stepping up and playing in some different spots as of late. It was our goal to go 4-0 on the week and we did that. Time to keep getting better and get ready to battle with Denver next week!"

South Dakota opens Summit League play with a match at Denver on Saturday, March 16.
