Schutt was a Valley all-newcomer pick in 2017 and backed that up by ranking 12th nationally with a 42.9-yard average as a sophomore last season. Lorber made 12 of 17 field goals and 32 of 34 extra points in his first season at USD. He made a field goal in seven consecutive games to begin the season and in nine of 11 overall. His long of 39 he hit twice. Godfrey was USD's snapper for nine games last season as a redshirt freshman.
Depth to the position is provided by Clements and Long, now sophomores. The newcomers include long snapper Mather and kicker Conrad.
