URBANDALE, Iowa – South Dakota opened the spring portion of its women's tennis season by dropping a 4-0 decision to Iowa State in a match played Friday at Life Time Fitness.
Jana Lazarevic,
Nanette Nylund and
Eesha Varma all suffered setbacks in singles play for the Coyotes (0-1).
Lazarevic, junior, dropped a match to Thasaporn Naklo while Nylund, a senior, fell to Ting-Pei Chang. Varma, a freshman, fell to Margarita Timakova.
The Coyotes are back on the court Saturday morning for a 10 a.m. match against Drake at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center on the Drake campus.
