South Dakota volleyball coach
Leanne Williamson and head strength and conditioning coach
Clete McLeod are guests on this week's "YoteCast," the official podcast of Coyote athletics hosted by John Thayer.
Â
Williamson's squad is coming off a 31-3 campaign in 2019 that culminated in a national runner-up finish in the NIVC. In this week's episode, she talks with Thayer about "getting used to different," her initial reaction when her team was allowed to get back together, and her focus in these early practices. She also discusses how her newcomers are adjusting and perhaps when we could see a spring volleyball schedule.
Â
McLeod joined the Coyotes in early 2018 following stints at Nebraska and his alma mater, Southern Illinois. McLeod talks with Thayer about switching from in-season to out-of-season training at the blink of an eye, preparing for a quick turnaround between spring football and fall football, and what a socially-distanced weight room looks like.
Â
The episode starts as it typically does with athletic director
David Herbster. He relates his experiences as a student-athlete at Virginia Tech to today's happenings, talks about a Summit basketball schedule filled with back-to-back doubleheaders, and answers why it's difficult to add men's sports in the Ask the AD segment.
