VERMILLION, S.D. — The University of South Dakota is pleased to announce that current Assistant Director of Marketing & Promotions
Kendra Rich has been promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing & Promotions. Rich joined the South Dakota athletic department in July of 2024.
"Kendra made an immediate impact on our external efforts and I am excited for her to embrace new challenges as an Assistant AD," said
Jarren Duffy, Associate AD for Fan Engagement. "She continues to elevate the Coyote brand and gameday atmosphere at the University of South Dakota and has earned the opportunity for an expanded role."
In her assistant director position, she took over marketing and promotion responsibilities for the football and women's basketball programs. Under her supervision, revenue in those sports grew by over 15%. In her new role she will oversee the marketing department and spirit squads.
"I'm grateful for the opportunity to step into the role of Assistant AD of Marketing and want to thank
Jon Schemmel,
Corey Jenkins, and
Jarren Duffy for their trust and support," said Rich. "I am excited to continue building on the momentum of Coyote Athletics and help grow the brand and fan experience."
A Salem, Arkansas native, Rich earned her bachelor's degree in business administration in 2022 and master's degree in sport management in 2024, both from the University of Central Arkansas.
