Vining goes viral, Ryz introduces Fomeno in this week’s YoteCast

GEN: New YoteCast

If you haven't seen South Dakota men's golf coach John Vining's viral video of his 2-year old son, Jones, then today is your lucky day…

The video is approaching two million views and has caught the attention of Scott McCarron and ESPN among others. Vining joins this week's podcast to discuss his instant fame, updates on his golf squad and how he prepares his team throughout the year.

Plus, triathlete Payton Ryz is one of three Coyotes who won a Hult Prize Regional Summit back in the spring. She joins the show to talk about her startup company Fomeno (www.thriftfomeno.com), the trio's preparation for December's Hult Prize Global Finals in London and it's $1 million in seed money to the winner, plus how triathlon has been impacted by COVID.

And Athletic Director David Herbster is on to talk about this week's NCAA announcements and how they impact the department. Other topics include:
  • A first glimpse of what upcoming Coyote schedules might look like
  • Updates on testing and when practices might be able to resume
  • The NCAA's reasoning for reducing tournament teams
  • The first "Ask the A.D." segment
