VERMILLION, S.D. — The University of South Dakota athletic department welcomes Dylan Hastings to the team as the Associate Director of Athletics Development.

Dylan's ability to build trust, create meaningful connections and take initiative make him such an asset to our team and our student-athletes," Associate Athletic Director of Development & Chief Revenue Officer Logan Bornholdt said. A 2024 undergraduate of Midland University, Hastings obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Sport Management and Marketing. In the following four months, Hastings completed his Master of Science in Sports Administration & Leadership also from Midland.
 
During his undergraduate studies, he served as a Gameday Operations Intern with the Omaha Storm Chasers of the MiLB. In his time with the Storm Chasers, Hastings assisted with stadium setup, in-game promotion, venue management while attempting to enhance the fan experience in Papillion.
 
Following his graduation from Midland, he turned the internship with the Storm Chasers into a full-time gig, serving as the Tickets & Hospitality Executive. 
 
Hastings generated $220,000 in group revenue with deals fostered naturally through phone calls, emails and in-person networking. Additionally, he strengthened long-term client relationships through consistent follow-up and personalized service, supporting repeat business and referrals.
