VERMILLION, S.D.—South Dakota women's basketball is ranked fifth in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major poll for the third consecutive week as announced Tuesday evening.
The Coyotes are ranked for the 58th consecutive CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major poll and have ranked in the poll's top-five for 27-straight weeks.
South Dakota is led by the senior trio of
Hannah Sjerven,
Chloe Lamb and
Liv Korngable. Sjerven picked up her second Summit League weekly honor by averaging 24 points and 9.4 caroms in league-opening play against Denver. She's averaging 19.1 points and 9.7 rebounds on the season. Lamb and Korngable join her in double figures with 16.8 and 15 points each, respectively. The Coyotes are one of just seven programs in the country to have three players averaging more than 15 points per game.
South Dakota visits Kansas City for back-to-back games at 2 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. This weekend marks the first meeting between the programs since Kansas City left the league in 2013.
