- USD is one of two schools that have had two different players score over 37 points or more in a Division I game this season.
- The Yotes have their best start to a conference season since the 1992-93 season when they started 13-0. With their split over SDSU, the Coyotes have started the conference season 9-1 and sit atop the rankings.
- Umude ranks second in the Summit League with 20.9 points per game while Plitzuweit ranks seventh with 16.6 points per game.
- Plitzuweit is the only player in the Summit League that averages over 16.0 points and 4.0 assists on the season. He set a new career-high of 37 points Saturday against Omaha.
- Umude recorded his fourth 30+ point game of the season with 34 points in game two aganst SDSU. The same game Kamateros recorded a team season-high 16 rebounds.
- Coach Lee is two wins away from 200 career wins. He spent eight seasons at Kentucky Wesleyan and is in his third season at USD.
- The Coyotes recorded one of the best overall and conference win streaks in the Division I era. USD reeled off 10 straight overall wins and 10 straight regular season victories dating back to last season. Both were in the top five in active streaks in Division I heading into the SDSU series.
- Umude became the 23rd player in USD history to record 1,000 points and 500 rebounds in a career. He also ranks 32nd in program history with 502 rebounds.
- USD ranks 25th in the nation in free throw percentage and 24th in defensive rebounds.
ABOUT NORTH DAKOTA
The Fighting Hawks are 6-15 and 5-7 in Summit League play this season. UND started out with a split against Kansas City and then took the first of two against Oral Roberts in Tulsa to start off the conference season. They have split every series exept for SDSU in which they were swept by the Jacks. UND has one more weekend series against Omaha after their series with the Yotes. UND averages 67.1 points per game and are giving up 76.0 points per game on the season. They are shooting at a 42.5 percent clip from the field and a 32.0 percent from deep. The Fighting Hawks rank fourth in the conference in made FG's this season with 6.9 makes this season.
UND is led by by Filip Rebraca with 17.1 points per game and Tyree Ihenacho with 9.3 points. Rebraca ranks fifth in the Summit League in scoring. He also ranks second in the League shooting 53 percent from the field.
SERIES HISTORY
The Fighting Hawks defeated the Yotes earlier this season at the Sanford Pentagon. The all-time series history in Grand Forks is in favor of the home team as they hold a 56-33 record. The first meeting between the two teams happened in 1922-23 when UND won 31-13. Since UND rejoined the Summit League in 2018- 19, USD has a record of 4-1 against the Fighting Hawks with the only loss coming in the Summit League Tournament last season.
