The Coyotes
South Dakota (12-5, 8-2 Summit) will play its first game inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center since Jan. 3rd, a stretch spanning 48 days and all eight Summit League road games. The Coyotes continue to be led by the senior trio of
Hannah Sjerven,
Chloe Lamb and
Liv Korngable who rank in the top-five of the league for scoring. The Coyotes also saw impressive flashes from true freshman guard
Maddie Krull in last weekend's road trip to North Dakota. She had a pair of hustle plays at the end of game one, deflecting a ball off a Fighting Hawk leg for a steal and scoring a flying layup on the ensuing possession to make it a two-possession game near the end of regulation. She finished in double figures for both games of the series.

The Golden Eagles
Oral Roberts (6-12, 4-6 Summit) has dropped its last four games in league play to South Dakota State and at North Dakota State. With this weekend's games, the Golden Eagles face the top three teams in the Summit standings on consecutive weekends. Oral Roberts is led by returning first-team pick Keni Jo Lippe, the Summit's second-leading scorer in conference play at 18.4 points per game. She's surrounded by 12 newcomers this season with true freshman Tierney Coleman joining her in double-figure scoring (12.3).
Â
The Series
South Dakota and Oral Roberts have only met as members of the Summit League. The Coyotes lead the series 14-3 and have won 12-straight entering the weekend.
Â
One Last Thing
The Coyotes just completed a crazy stretch with all eight of the Summit road games in a row. It ties for the longest stretch of consecutive true road games in the nation this season.
