The Game

South Dakota women's basketball hosts North Dakota State for a pair of games at 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center in Vermillion, S.D. Sunday's game will be televised by MidcoSN2 with commentary from Jay Elsen and Greg Stemen. That broadcast will also be available for streaming on espn3 and Midco Sports Plus. A free stream will be available for both games right here on GoYotes.com. Fans can also tune into both games on the Coyote Sports Network with Carter Woodiel. Saturday's game will be carried on KVTK 101.5 FM, while Sunday's will return to the flagship station of KVHT 106.3 FM. Both broadcasts are available using the TuneIn app.

The Coyotes

South Dakota (14-5, 10-2 Summit) celebrates its senior class this weekend in the final regular season games of the season. This senior class – #1 Claudia Kunzer, #2 Liv Korngable, #11 Monica Arens, #22 Chloe Lamb, #34 Hannah Sjerven – boasts a 101-20 record in the past four seasons. The Coyotes have received votes in the AP Top 25 for more than half of their career, the group has two undefeated Summit regular seasons and qualified for two NCAA Tournaments. (Due to the NCAA granting a free year of eligibility to winter sport athletes, all five have the opportunity to return next season should they choose.)

The Bison

North Dakota State (14-6, 9-5 Summit) continues to improve under second-year head coach Jory Collins. The Bison have improved from a sixth-place finish a year ago to potentially finishing third this season. NDSU has gotten it done this season with a balanced scoring attack – the Bison's leading scorer Heaven Hamling is averaging just 12.1 points per game. Sophomore Ryan Cobbins (10.7) and senior Emily Dietz (10.5) join her in double-figures, while five more players average more than five points. The Bison are coming off a pair of close losses to No. 23 South Dakota State last weekend in Fargo.

The Series

North Dakota State leads the all-time series between the longtime foes 42-33. The Coyotes boast a 17-3 record in Division I meetings between the teams, including winning the last eight consecutive matches.

One Last Thing

South Dakota has locked in the No. 2 seed in the upcoming Summit Tournament and will open with Oral Roberts in the quarterfinal scheduled for 2:45 p.m. Saturday, March 6. While the tournament seeding is locked up, the Coyotes do have a chance to share the regular season title with two USD wins and two SDSU losses this weekend.
