SIOUX FALLS, S.D.—A total of 204 University of South Dakota student-athletes were named to the Summit League Academic Honor Roll announced Thursday by the league office. A remarkable 70 percent of USD student-athletes who compete within The Summit League are members of the Academic Honor Roll.
 
The Coyotes' 204 honorees represent 12 Summit League sports. Of those 12 sports, South Dakota tied with South Dakota State for the highest number of selections from within the conference. North Dakota State was third with 165.
 
USD women's soccer (28), men's swimming and diving (17) and volleyball (14) led the league in total numbers in their respective sports. Women's swimming and diving (27) had the second-most. Women's track and field (49) and women's tennis (7) had the third-most.
 
To be eligible for the Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 grade point average for the academic year awarded and have used a season of competition in the sport in which the student-athlete is nominated.
