The South Dakota men's basketball team defeated Simpson College by a final score of 101-55 in an exhibition game Sunday afternoon inside the Sanford Coyote Sports Center.
13 players scored at least three points in Sunday's game led by a game-high 24 from
Kruz Perrott-Hunt. Perrott-Hunt went 10-15 from the floor including a 50 percent mark from downtown. The junior also led the team with four assists and added five rebounds.
Tasos Kamateros scored 13 points in 14 minutes of action. He recorded a 50 percent mark from the field and made his lone three pointer in the game. Freshman
Jevon Hill was the third Coyote in double-figures with 11 points off the bench. Hill sank four-of-seven shots including three triples on the day. He added a block and two rebounds to his stat line as well.

Damani Hayes, and
Jeremiah Coleman all finished with eight points apiece.
The Coyotes dominated the inside with 50 of their 101 points coming inside the paint. It also led to the team shooting 55 percent from the floor in the game. South Dakota limited the Storm to 35 percent shooting including 17 percent from the three-point line. They also caused 14 turnovers that led to 20 points for USD.
Buck Eagleburger and Easton Darling were the two players in double-figures for Simpson. Eagleburger finished with 13 points while Darling added in 10 points.
The season opens a week from Monday against Wisconsin for the Coyotes. The teams will face off at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 7 inside the Kohl Center in Madison, Wisconsin.
